John is a Founding Director and Chief Technology Officer of BrightSword Technologies Pte Ltd, Singapore - an ISO 9001 organization.
In addition to being directly involved in the many achievements of BrightSword Technologies, John architected and directed the development of the Cornerstone™ Code Generation Framework, which drastically improves developer productivity using pattern-based, metadata-driven code-generation technology.
John also served as the Chief Architect of HealthUnity Corporation, where he architected and directed the development of a secure, dynamic, workflow-driven, messaging-based peer-to-peer collaboration network for healthcare applications. US Patent applications are pending for the design of a HIPAA-compliant HL7 message transport across inherently non-secure networks.
John began his career of writing world-class, innovative software as a Software Development Intern on the Microsoft Excel 4.5 Development Team. Upon graduation, he joined as a Software Engineer in the Oracle Forms Development Team at Oracle Corporation (NASDAQ: ORCL) in 1993. He moved in 1994 to Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), where he was involved in developing and shipping Microsoft Project 95 and Microsoft Project 98, and developing the prototype SharePoint Server. He was one of the first US employees who transferred to Microsoft R&D India Private Limited, Hyderabad, India in 1999, where he was a lead developer on the Microsoft Visual J# Development Team until 2000. He was granted a US patent for aspects of his work at Microsoft.
John is currently a Senior Application Architect at MYOB, Australia, where he employs DDD and Agile methodology to deliver a compelling solution for SME Accounting on the Microsoft Azure Cloud.
John holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and Chemistry from Dartmouth College, NH, USA.
He is married to Smitha and they live in Melbourne, Australia.
