As AvePoint’s Chief SharePoint Evangelist, Dan Holme utilises both his expertise in Microsoft technologies and proven experience solving customers’ IT business challenges to educate the global SharePoint community, as well as develop solutions that will set the standard for the next generation of collaboration platforms.
In addition to earning the prestigious title of Microsoft MVP (Windows Server Directory Services, 2007, and SharePoint Server, 2008-2011), Dan is a contributing editor for Windows IT Pro and SharePoint Pro magazines as well as the community lead of SharePointProMag.com. Dan’s two most recent Microsoft books—the Windows Administration Resource Kit and the training kit for the 70-640 MCTS exam—are regular bestsellers in their category. He also contributed to the Microsoft Official Curriculum for SharePoint 2010, and penned the SharePoint 2010 Training Kit for Microsoft Press.
Prior to joining AvePoint, Dan founded Intelliem, a boutique consulting and training firm with a Fortune-caliber clientele and deep expertise and experience in Windows, Active Directory, and SharePoint. He was also a founding partner of Aptillon, a consulting and development firm created by seven of the world’s top SharePoint MVPs. He also played an instrumental role as Microsoft Technologies Consultant for NBC Olympics during the Winter Olympics in Vancouver (2010), Beijing (2008), and Torino (2006)—a role he plans to play again for the broadcast of the 2012 Summer Olympics from London.
