"In March 2009, a large part of the Sydney CBD was plunged into a series of blackouts as a result of multiple cable faults. While uninterruptible power supplies normally cover this, a hitherto unknown UPS fault caused an immediate power failure to an Exchange mailbox server and SAN. Before the power even returned, it was easy to predict the outcome – unmountable Exchange databases.
In this session, we’ll take you through the available recovery options in an Exchange environment – including System Center Data Protection Manager - and highlight how it was possible to return Exchange to full operation – without loss of a single email – with a minimum of downtime.
