Traditional BI setups can require specialist skills to develop dashboards. Furthermore there are many tools in the Microsoft stack which can all be used to create dashboards – SharePoint PerformancePoint Services, SQL Reporting Services and SharePoint Excel Services. This session focuses on Excel Services as a “low barrier to entry” solution for enterprise dashboard development that business people can build and deploy. Bhavik will demonstrate some cool looking dashboards built in Excel Services, share tips on how these were built and also cover best practices and caveats that one should be aware of.
